What’s next
Where Canary Site Monitor is going.
An honest look at what we’re building next — and what we’re still thinking about. Nothing here is a promise with a date attached, but it’s the real order of priorities.
In progress
Being worked on now
Simpler Pro upgrade
Right now, upgrading means removing the free plugin before installing Pro. We’re restructuring so Pro installs alongside the free plugin as an extension — no deactivation step, no risk of running both.
Multisite support
Network-wide monitoring for WordPress Multisite installations, with per-site status and a single consolidated digest.
Agency licensing
Multi-site licence tiers for freelancers and agencies managing client sites, instead of a separate licence per install.
Planned
On the list
Uptime & response monitoring
Track whether your site is reachable and how quickly it responds, alongside the internal health checks already in place.
Slack & webhook alerts
Send Alert-level flags to Slack, Discord, or any webhook endpoint — for people who don’t want another email.
Scheduled post monitoring
Catch missed schedules and stalled WP-Cron events — a common failure that usually goes unnoticed for weeks.
Digest history
A searchable archive of past digests, so you can look back and see when a problem actually started.
Exploring
Ideas we’re still thinking through
These are genuinely undecided. They’re here because we’d rather be transparent about what we’re considering than quietly sit on it.
Agency dashboard
A single view across every client site you manage. This is a significant architectural change, since it would mean sending monitoring data off your server for the first time — so it would always be opt-in.
Guided fixes
Step-by-step remediation for common flags, rather than just reporting them. We’re deliberately cautious here — a monitoring tool that starts changing your site is a different kind of product.
